And then you lie in bed at night and think. You toss and turn, trying to solve the day's problems - while at the same time anxious that you're not getting enough sleep. You look at the clock and ask yourself if it's broken, because it's barely moved and you're certain that it's been at least an hour since the last time you looked at it! You've tried sleeping pills, but they just make you groggy in the morning, and you can't do that.
Does any of this sound familiar? Well, you're not alone. Almost half of all Americans report having occasional insomnia, and about a quarter of us have insomnia almost every night. This is a problem. Because lack of sleep has a profound affect on your health - from your moods to your immune system - you will function as a coherent, effective person or not depending upon your sleep patterns.
What to do? Study after study has shown that meditation for 20 minutes, at least once but preferably twice a day, can radically alter mood, sleep, creativity, brain function and brain physiology. Yes, that's right. Your brain will literally change physically - making more connections, growing new neural pathways.
There are many different ways to meditate, and they all have benefit. One of the easiest ways to begin, if you've never meditated before, is through music and sounds. We have been working hard to produce a series of meditation tracks available for download. We're hoping to have them ready by Christmas. What a great Christmas gift for yourself or someone you care about! If you're interested, please fill out the form below. We'll send you a notice when they're ready.
Oh! And the first one's free. We want you to experience it for yourself.
